At Capability 1st Ltd our CEO Daniel Biddle acquired his disability in the 7/7 London bombings in 2005.
He owes his life to the dedicated staff of the NHS, and the services provided, however one key aspect that was missing from his recovery journey was the process of returning to work, what that would look like how would it be achieved and how would his employer manage the transition back to work?
Daniel saw a gap in the provision of support during his recovery and that is when his vision turned into Capability 1st Ltd.
Having seen the barriers and pitfalls of return to work planning he developed a new approach that places the individual at the heart of the process. and built a programme that is tailored to the individual case and not a generic one size fits all approach.
